Onboarding
Documentation to help new users get onboarded and familiar with NMSU High Performance Computing.
To get access to Discovery, you are required to complete the following steps:
Step 1 - Complete the Self-Paced Onboarding Course
A Self-Paced documentation style Onboarding course can be found below.

Step 2 - Account Request Form

To get an account, follow the link → Account Request Form and fill out the form. Choose the appropriate Type of Onboarding Option in the first page of the form and then proceed to the form’s next page. Fill all the required fields and then submit the form.

Once the account request form is submitted, the HPC team will review the request and then contact you within 1–7 business days. |
Step 3 - Complete First-Time Login

The first step after getting the access is to complete the first-time login process in the Open OnDemand Discovery Portal. Open OnDemand provides a web GUI to access all the Discovery’s HPC resources.

To complete the first-time login process, follow the instructions in this page → First-Time Login for NMSU Users. After the first-time login process is completed, you can start using the Discovery resources.

The first step after receiving the login credentials is to complete the first-time login process in Open OnDemand Discovery Portal. Open OnDemand provides a web GUI to access all the Discovery’s HPC resources.

To complete the first-time login process, follow the instructions on this page → First-Time Login for Affiliates(Non-NMSU Users). After the first-time login process is completed, you can start using the Discovery resources.
